Applications are invited for faculty positions at the level of Assistant
Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Madras. Candidates
should be Indian citizens having a Ph.D and an excellent record in research in
the frontier areas of chemical engineering. Post-doctoral experience of one or
two years is preferable.
IIT Madras is a premier technological institute located in Chennai, South

development. The chemical engineering department has a dedicated and motivated
team of faculty actively involved in industrial consultancy and sponsored
research at both fundamental and applied levels. They collaborate in research

Industry/Government organizations on Research Based Consultancy Projects.
Interdisciplinary research groups are actively pursuing emerging areas such as
nano-technology.
The job involves teaching and working with some of the brightest
students of the country at the undergraduate and graduate level as well as
leading a scholarly research program. The department is involved in state of the
art research and possesses facilities and equipment to match. Funding from
various Governmental and private industries is available for innovative
